NEW SECTION 404 INTERNAL CONTROLS BRIEFING
Year 4 Update

The new Audit Analytics briefing on the Sarbanes Oxely Act, Section 404 Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFRs) is now available. SOX 404 is presently in its forth year of application. This year's briefing is particularly significant because this is the first year that many filers have been required to comply with the Internal Controls guidelines.

Audit Analytics has been tracking ICFRs since the Sarbanes Oxley Act went into effect. For the most recent year there were 4,012 SOX 404 Auditor Attestations filings examined by Audit Analytics. One key finding of the report is that although the overall rate of adverse auditor attestations has steadily declined since Year 1, there was a significant spike in the percentage of adverse attestations from first-time filers.

NEW FEATURE IN THE AUDITOR ENGAGEMENTS SEARCH
Large Accelerated Filer and Accounting Basis Fields Now Available

This means it is now possible to differentiate between sizes of accelerated filers and to determine whether they use US GAAP or IFRS accounting standards. This addition is part of Audit Analytics' ongoing efforts to provide clients with the most comprehensive, current and convenient data available.
